Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers before you share a file.
Scope, security, turnaround and commercial boundaries—explained without fine-print surprises.
What do you need to start?+
For the free review, three representative supplier invoices, the relevant rate card or commercial terms, and any issue records that may affect what should be charged. Files are requested only after the scope is acknowledged. For a quote or demo, start with your invoice volume and review needs; no files are needed in the enquiry form.
How is pricing determined?+
We quote for your invoice and line-item volume, supplier and contract complexity, data quality and review frequency. One-off reviews and ongoing monitoring are scoped individually. The scope and fee are agreed before paid work begins; accounting add-ons are quoted separately.
How long does an audit take?+
Timing depends on invoice volume, review complexity and the completeness of the evidence. We agree the timetable with your scope before work begins.
How is my information handled?+
NDA terms are available. Access is limited to the assigned review team, files are used only for the agreed engagement and the retention or deletion approach is confirmed before upload.
Will contacting CostVerify damage the supplier relationship?+
The review is evidence-led and neutral. Findings distinguish confirmed recovery, review-needed items, correct charges, exclusions and unmapped lines so your team can have a factual supplier conversation.
Which file formats are supported?+
XLSX, CSV and PDF are the most common. We can also work with structured exports from accounting, purchasing and order-management systems.
Do you guarantee a recovery?+
No. CostVerify guarantees a structured review against the available evidence, not a recovery amount. Some populations may be accurate or may need more evidence before a conclusion is possible.
What is outside the supplier audit?+
Freight and delivery are excluded unless specifically contracted into scope. Statutory financial-statement audit, tax opinions and legal conclusions are not part of the supplier-cost review.
Where do you work?+
CostVerify is initially focused on businesses in the United States and Canada. Fees and currency are confirmed in your individual quote.
Are accounting services part of the supplier audit?+
No. Accounting Cleanup, Reconciliation Support, and Reporting & Controller Support are separately scoped add-ons, so the core supplier audit remains focused and independent.
Start with evidence
Are your suppliers charging you what you agreed?
Start with three invoices. No cost, no commitment and no files requested until the scope is clear.
